Give away

I like dogs, like them more than people they don’t have to talk back, you can tell them anything, they keep you warm at night and eat your table scraps. Keep the cats out of the yard and the evil menacing car headlights and lawnmowers get barked at. They do fun things like leave squeaky toys where you will step on them and track muddy paw prints over your freshly washed floor.

It makes me sad though when I see all these beautiful dogs looking for homes, up for adoption.

You say why sad? Because I see folks saying things like this “look at our new puppy” and then again maybe six months later ”look at our new puppy” and I ask them what happened to the last one, "oh it wasn’t cute any more” “was being a nuisance” or “it got Parvo and died”

Makes me so sad, would you dump your child at the local hospital when it wasn’t cute anymore? Would you give your child to someone else because it peed on the floor or broke something it shouldn’t have? Do you not immunise your child?

Would you tie your elderly parent to a pole outside a nursing home just because they are too old to care for?

I know a few people just like that no sense of responsibility for anything, a new mobile phone or a tattoo is more important than a one off trip to the Vet for a Parvo needle that costs less than $30.

Watching Home and Away or X Factor is more important than taking the dog for a walk or throwing it a ball.

Do some research before you get a dog or any animal for that matter, what do they need can you because it will be you not the kids, feed it, wash and groom it and take it to the Vet?

Please, don’t just get a dog because it’s a cute puppy or the latest film had that kind of dog in it, get a stuffed toy those are cute, don’t have to feed them or anything and when it gets boring you can shove it in a corner and forget about it.

Always got me when that movie Beethoven came out people went and got St Bernard puppies, around 6-8 months after that film came out the shelters where full of St Bernard’s, like are you serious? Didn’t they watch the film at all? That dog caused more damage than a bull dozer, drooled everywhere dug its self out of the tiny yard it was enclosed in and went wondering by itself , some people are just mindless really they are.

Red Dog (it’s a movie) is the same that’s why there are so many Kelpies in shelters on death row, mind you they KILL them in some of those places

Yes Red Dog is smart and loyal but watch the movie, not smart enough to not eat poison (Vet bill there) and wonders around all over the place (council fine for unregistered wondering dog) the two dogs that play the part went through a pile of training too, you don’t just magically get a dog that can do those things it has to be trained even the stupid compared to a Kelpie, St Bernard in Beethoven had to be trained.

My current dog was given to us, free for nothing, she’s dug holes (to China) peed on the floor, pulled the toilet paper off the roll, barks at all and sundry and sheds mountains of hair.

She’s cost us a few hundred dollars in Vet bills and a few times we ran out of money didn’t have enough food for ourselves so the dog had rice as that was all we had to feed her.

I wouldn’t give her away though, she can be a pain sometimes but wouldn’t give her up she’s going to be eleven at the end of this year, getting old now, still wouldn’t dump her anywhere, she’s comfortable here in HER chair that no one else would want to sit in.

If I was going to write up her adoption bio it would read like this.

Micro chipped, registered, de-sexed and vaccinated she walks well on the lead.

Ice is a Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog, loves people, will chase a ball but doesn’t bring it back very well, even though she’s older she still likes to play tug. Does not like cats or small dogs, does not like wheels or being crated. Loves rides in the car (you will need ear plugs for that) as she is very vocal this dog can bark for 2000ks nonstop.

Ice likes all and any foods, chips are her favourite, will wait for signal to eat.

Up for adoption because (insert excuse here)

No you can’t have my dog, not giving her away I care for animals which is why I get so sad when I see bio’s like that, some people just don’t care at all they are under-educated about dogs about costs about breeds, about what some dogs need.

A dog does NOT need to be:

·        A status symbol

·        A fashion accessory

·        A souvenir from the latest film

·        Left in the back yard for days on end

·        Have people be scared of it

·        Be chained or tied up all the time

·        Just plain old abandoned

·        The “cute” accessory or talking point

·        Having puppies every year (eg your salary)

·        A xmas present for the kids

A few of those equal to a STUFFED toy, get one of  those instead!

 Please don’t get a dog unless you have at least 15 years of time to spend with it.

Your excuse of “moving can’t take it” or “kids won’t look after it” is baseless because I can bet you took your TV with you when you moved and the kids school backpack’s neither of which the kids look after ...do they ??

Bit of quiet time

Don't normally get any quiet time but it is at the moment not sure how long it will last may have to type faster

 Right there you go dog, might be a few crumbs under my feet there thats all you are going to get ... "go for it vacuum features", should have called the dog Hoover she's more fastidious at vacuuming than I am, only food though, she leaves her hair that she drops for me to vacc up.

Forgot what I was going to say now, apart from this ruler its a "fancy" one with a measure thing on it, least I thought it was turns out that its a cutter, so here is me cutting straight lines with scissors and I've got this fancy straight line cutting ruler that I didn't even know I had, sometimes it pays to clean up.
Been doing a bit of cleaning up lately because I'm getting a new desk, you don't want to know whats behind and under things lets face it I don't want to know, emptied the vacc like 3 times already err dog hair mostly
One day I'm going to glue it all together could make a whole new dog or maybe a dog hair lampshade?

Went on G plus before to post a link to Taste Buds and G plus has gone all Facebooky with the double barreled profile , hard to follow that is, be even harder on one of those smart phone things they are designed to read up down like most people read websites UP/ DOWN not left right or right left.
Two columns is going backwards in time what year are we in 2013 its not 1913 newspapers have colums (which I can't spell) and who reads newspapers now a days ? Real paper newspapers I'm talking about not online ones, read an online newspaper it goes UP/DOWN
Not that most read english any more, I know they can't write or spell and you can't blame auto correct either you type the write spelling and it will give you the rite word R I G H T

Where I talk about dogs.

If you really want a pile of comments and a whole lot of conversation talk about a dog, not just any dog though it has to be the Pit Bull or more precisely the American Pit Bull a dog breed banned here in Australia.

Ice  is a Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog

Now don’t get me wrong I love dogs all dogs are DOGS first though, they instinctually will go “can I eat it?”, “is it mine?” and “I am pack leader”

Now there is the main problem PACK LEADER or who is the boss of the house, if your dog thinks or in some cases knows it is the boss you are going to have a problem with it.

That front gate is as far as the dog is concerned “theirs” and they are going to protect their territory that sandwich that that child has is “theirs” and they will have it. YOU are theirs and they will stop anyone else from coming near you. Its instinct if you look at wolves they will do the same thing the boss dog the top dog goes first when it comes to food, has the best bed the top position it gets more and gets it now!

If you are top “dog” and train your dog properly, so it knows that you are the top dog, YOU go first, YOU eat first, YOU go to the door first then you are the boss.

Your dog doesn’t need to be nor should it be afraid of you neither should it be fearful of children, you see a child will put its arm around a dog, it will have food and it will put a large object like a bat/stick/tennis racquet above its head, they will do that they are children after all and if your dog is afraid of those things it might just be fear aggressive.

What’s fear aggression? When afraid you have two choices, run away or stand and fight, fear aggression is stand and fight.

The other thing a dog might do is give a warning yip and sometimes a warning nip if a child does something to the dog that the dog doesn’t like, maybe come too close to the tail “don’t touch the sore spot on the tail” or sit in the dogs favourite sunny spot “that’s my spot get off” after all the child is lower ranked in the pack than you are so to the dog the child is lower than them so can be told off that’s the way dogs are.

The problem is when you have a big dog, a Labrador, an Alsatian, a Cattle Dog or an American Pit Bull if it bites it does more damage than a tiny dog would, a Mini Fox Terrier isn’t going to do much damage at all it can’t its small and there is your main word there SMALL, all dogs and I mean all dogs don’t know size, ask one if it knows if its small or not, don’t ask the Chihuahua tho unless you can understand Mexican but they will say to you “What is this small you speak of? All dogs are the same size” they have no idea absolutely no idea that they are small neither does a bigger dog know it’s big, a big dog will still try to get on your lap and still try to squeeze under the coffee table.

The problem is when a big dog gives a warning nip its mouth is as large as a child’s head so when that child goes into the dogs territory or yours and the dog doing its instinctual job of protection goes to tell that child off who comes off the worse for it? The child of course.

I’ve had many dogs, big hairy ones, small yappy brown spotted ones, there is one at the moment around here somewhere possibly on the bed she’s what you call a herding dog (see pic above). See dogs can be herders, Cattle Dogs, Corgi’s and Old English sheep dogs are herders.

Or they can be bred for catching things like rats and pigs the terrier whether it’s a Bull Terrier, Pit Bull, Staffordshire or a Fox Terrier those are all terriers they are all tenacious, will not let go of something once they have it. My Mini Fox terrier could be lifted up whilst holding onto a stick a full two metres off the ground which was around 10 times his height, which was fine by him it was a fun thing to do a “dog” thing that he was bred to do and he was by all accounts little but not by his standards (dogs don’t know size).

The problem is if you’ve got a dog which has “Terrier” in its breed name you are going to get a dog that is determined, stubborn one that will NOT let go, imagine if that stick was an arm and you had a Pit Bull Terrier attached to it or a Staffordshire either dog doesn’t matter they are both terriers they will not let go.

Before I go repeating, myself again again if you look at the statistics on which dog bit who (you know where Google is go look yourself) you will see there are 10 breeds there that are the worst biters, the most aggressive, Boxers are in those statistics (see pic) but Bundy wouldn't do any more than knock you over or tail whip you. Some are there just because there are more of them than any other dog they are popular  so obviously the statistics will be high, others are there not because the dog breed has aggressive dogs but because the dogs person is hopeless at being pack LEADER they just let the dog be like that and in some cases encourage it.

It’s not the dogs fault, it’s not the breeds fault its people, people breed dogs to be what they would like the dog to be, people encourage dogs to behave in a way that they want them to behave, so don’t blame the dog blame the person.

Put the blame on the person who is afraid of dogs, the one who couldn’t tell you what breed it was that barked at them because it sensed their fear or was just a happy dog that knocked them over because “dogs don’t know size” and hurt the person accidentally.

I believe that dogs that all dogs can be made aggressive, but also can be made great hunters, herders and protectors it’s there its instinct they will do what dogs do ..... if you let them.

PS: My Mini Foxie apart from being a grand total of 2kgs and a height of 30cm was a killer; we just couldn’t stop him once he started from killing chickens, a dog that size is impossible to catch, he killed six of next doors chickens before I could catch him. I didn’t let him, nor encourage him he just did as terriers will do and that’s hunt. We just kept him away from all chickens after that because we knew he was like that. If he had been a big dog and couldn’t help biting people well you know what happens there.

G'day mates me is a bit bigga dan dat nowe , me was small and cute but iz a bit bigga now
I gets to be inside more nowe, becoz stumpy man who wear hat ova de fence he like two mayke me go woof and den shout at me for going woof, e iz dumb human I recon you myke me do a trick you give me foods not shout at me dat is dumb I recon but I not mind becoz I gets to be inside more and ly on human bedz when dey not lookin hehehe

Ice is a 5 year old Stumpy Tail Cattle dog, she knows a few words, one is toy of which her favourite a now non-squeaky rubber shark is almost always in her mouth the newer one which does squeak is up..dang squeak goes right though me

She doesn't like the mower or the guy next door both make noises one she bites the wheels of the other she barks at she'd want to bite his lawn mower wheels if he ever actually mowed his lawn
Ice gets to be inside because of him, he will bang on the fence just to harras her, make her bark and jump the fence only she's never jumped over she just hangs on the top, he does it on purpose so he can say she's attacking him he's that kind of person
We go for (she asleep can I say the W word?) yep asleep , we go for walks every day short ones 1/2 hour or so she's learning to ignore loose dogs and all the other barkers in the street, just calmly walks past them now and they don't bark ..pretty neat that is

The old lady with the mops with legs Maltese I think (the dogs not her) who never has her dogs on a lead we try to avoid at all costs, Ice is learning though to put nose in air and totally ignore the ratty looking things that one day will get run over (the dogs not her) because she as no control over them at all, all over the street they are total pain and she's so snotty as well you'd think they were prize winners they way she talks ugg I don't want those worn tatty mop things anywhere near my dog

my back is hurting, mowed the lawn I KNOW shock horror amazement the lawn mower actually started wonders will never cease
Might possibly have started because it had a new spark plug and I mean a brand new one this time not an old 2nd hand one in a new looking box that "looked" like it was a brand new one
You know the [smarta$$] cousin he sticks this spark plug in it right when lawn mover was residing at FIL's and tells them its brand new one ...my backside it was and he charged them $5 for it he's such a rip off merchant
Anyway still got a bit of lawn to mow as its a PITB lawn mower one of those with a "deadmans switch" handle means you can't let go of it or it stops and you have to start the dang thing up again, so if you don't have a garden furniture mover handy and you are mowing by yourself, you have to mow around things ...so I mowed around things
kills my back though mowing does must be the vibrations from the mower I don't know as I can push it around ok don't know anyway I'm ok as long as I don't have to bend over and have you seen our fridge?
Our fridge is built for midgets its tiny only about 4 foot tall so getting milk out for my coffee is a bit of a pain
Think I might go to bed and warm my back on the furry one bit like having a furry hot water bottle that snores except he's not made of rubber and he don't make sloshing noises, well he does make noises but its more like a chain saw LoL

anyway cup is empty ..... did you drink that?
find some pain killers and go to bed, made the mistake last night of taking the pain killers before I logged out then of course I was sat here longer because my back wasn't hurting ..it started again when I got into bed, not exactly what I wanted so do it the right way around this time huh

my person she tell me she hav a dog like Buddy, like Max who lif next door he name Thunda but he die, she say he stay small like me when i was puppy, thing dey not shrink for him but he still all dog, he try to bite other boy dogs efen da girl dogs, he chace da chooks and bite dem too i say dis Thunda sound a bit naughty but he still a dog he sound like he was all dog big fierce dog but person she say he little dog that not sound right to me he big fierce brave dog i recon
but Thunda he get bit by car i recons cars are big an noisy so you gots to be carefulls with dem you watch outs for the cars i recons dey take you persons away inside of dem and dey bite you too if you not watch so you be barking and biting dem but not if dey move ok
you stay away from da movin cars they bite you dey bite you hard!!

Persons note: Dogs don't know size, Thunder (1989- 1998) was in his head a BIG dog he never tried biting a person but would try and fight any other dog no matter what size, his father was killed fighting an Alsatian, he loved chasing chickens (chooks), that's why I got into dog training to try and help me help him, never did stop him from chicken chasing but the fighting I was able to stop or he would have gone the same way as his father, sadly it was a car that never stopped that killed him I don't think the driver ever saw him.
Thunder who in his heart was as big as a horse was only a little dog, the car just went right over the top of him, he had a small mark on top of his head and that was it he just looked to be sleeping.
He was a dog that like all dogs didn't know size, he was out visiting Curly (his friend) the dog down the street at the time, wasn't supposed to but he was a big brave dog he didn't know that a dog of his size wouldn't be seen by a fast moving car at dusk.
Actually one of the things I've taught all my dogs and that's road crossing, most dogs cross at an angle mine don't they cross straight and look for cars even Thunder who used to go visit Curly all the time would cross straight (less time on the road) and look for cars but unfortunately the car was too fast, it was dusk and he was too small to be seen.

lawn mowa an stick thing .. for July 17, 2007

i not be able to get at puter person she allways on it, i put paw on her she not get off i try get on her lap she still not get off me gots to wait an wait an wait me end up go sleep me wait so long

an when me wake up dere a lawn mowa in da garden i not like lawn mowa i bark at it and you know what person do he spray me with wata from a bottle it not taste so good it taste like what dey call it lemom i think it lemom enyway it not nice wata and dey quirt me when i barks
i only barks to protect person from da lawn mowa and i gets squirted bit unfair i recons
dey gots da long stick thingy as well me think it soppossed to cut da grass like da lawn mowa but it not make da big noise da peoples dey poke it and pull it and it still not make da noise
an me not chew it eifer but me think it broke so in some part of garden da grass is taller than me
Coppa an Frosty dat WAY ova your head you get lost in da grass here me gets lost in it da person she just see my tail stick out it bit mean i recon to throw ballie into grass that bigger than my head so i loose ballie now hahaha i make person get it

Persons Note: Ice I am not getting your ball/s out of the grass you have to wait till the wipper snipper is fixed as its too high for the mower now . I know you don't like either but you will be squirted with lemon spray everytime you bark at them, besides I don't want you trying to bite the whipper snipper when its going that might be rather nasty, so spray it is.

Actually Ice is rather good at fetch, normally if the ball is in the long grass she will find and bring it back but our yard is full of these rather tall weeds they would look like trees to Copper or Frosty and they do need to be done with the "long stick" as Ice calls it only the dang thing won't start will it.
Ballie or "get the ballie" is one of Ices commands that she does know and does well

Persons note: Ice is right dogs need a pack structure and one person must be pack leader, the dreaded N word that she won't say is NO said in a stern voice. The pack leader must be strong and say that N word strong no pandering "oh baby don't do that" but NO and SIT
You have to be the leader or your dog will just jump all over you literally and figuratively, the dog needs a pack structure it's instinctive and someone in that dogs pack must be leader or your dog will be totally unmanageable of course the dog won't care after all it will be the boss of you .
So be strong be the pack leader for your dog

Hi mates, see my person she gots da food in the big white box thing, but when I stick my nose in there i gets told off but my food is in dere so i recon i should be able to hav that but my person she say no, i gots to hav my food at the banging on da fence time so i not scare the persons next door when i jump up on da top of da fence is hard chooose that is, jump up and scare peoples or food me take food

Frosty my eyes are brown both of them i know because sometimes there other dog in our house, under the thing called teevee is da clear see through stuff it cover up people food bowls that they neva eat out of i not understand that the peoples got lots of bowls i hav one an i lick it clean they got lots and they dont use dem at all an sometimes dis other dog who people say is me it be there under the teevee and eyes are brown, my person she say that there are other cattle dogs kinda like me that hav one eye different colour but they not da same as me lotsa dogs all different but still dogs i recon
an Frosty you ask why my name Ice when me was very small a baby me was all white colour

see me kinda looked like ice an i know what ice is too it the white stuff that is on the grass in the winta and the stuff that i get food inside in da summa it very cold but is fun to lick and get the food out from da inside of the ice

Staying cool?

see da things in da sky those things send down da wet stuff call rain
it the winta time here I cool all da time cept when I get to go inside den the scarywarm thing is there I not like that very much it make da noises dat I don like but no cold win blow in da house an no rain fall from da sky on me I try catch the rain but it very had to catch dat water is very fast so I bark at it da rain should go slower I recon

If me get tooo wet then I not come inside coz girl person don’ like me make artwork on da floor with my feet she say me should wipe my feet on da furmat by da door but me not do that dogs not wipe feet that silly cept wipe feet on person now dat funny

If I not ery wet I go inside an go under da desk or on da bed with the big furry man person he my toy I like too play wiff him sometimes he ly on da bed an I go ly next to him he very warm an cozy

If i can i stay inside a lot in da winta but I not mind de outside dere lotsa scary noises outside an sometimes big hard rain fall an I try catch that too but girl person she bring me inside spoil my fun she say i get hurt try too catch the big hard rain that like me it ice but i not get hurt i tough

Persons note: Ice is scared of a lot of things the heater, noises from the cemetery (tractors moving soil), footballs against the fence, riding in the car, the car starting and lawnmowers and thunder even in the house she has to be on the lead but she does get treats every time the thunder booms and she sits still and doesn’t bark. Not being so scared is an on going thing with Ice even a click from the heater will have her so scared she won’t even come in the room.
Being scared is part of why she barks, flight or fight she’s tough and chooses fight or bark at the noise
Ice can jump 6 feet into the air (that’s 2x her height) with a run up and at least 4 foot straight up if I don’t bring her inside when there is a thunderstorm it looks like the whole back yard is a trampoline we should have called her Tigger because she does love to bounce and jump

Hey woof

See that , that is picture of Linda my girl person talks of Linda how smart Linda is, Linda went to dog school and won prizes I not have any prizes I not go to school eifer that why me not write so good
Me is big dog I come up to knee Linda only half size of me she small hehehehe
she get wet on the belly when it rain hahaha I not get wet only paws get wet I not have to wear coat eifer Linda wear coat and my girl person tell me Linda have red nitted sweata
Dog look funny in sweata hahaha

Ok Ice you've been typing for an hour thats enough you can type more later ok
Linda lives in South Australia with her own girl, a rescue dog from the Animal Welfare League she's 7 now but when she first arrived she was only 4 months old and half the size that a 4 month old Mini Fox Terrier X should be I think she only weighed 2kg and should have been 4kg even still she was allmost the same size as Thunder the Mini Foxi that had been hit by a car about 2 months before, Thunder was tiny his coat was too small for her.
Linda has some Dashound and is long and tall compared to Thunder who was short and stocky like a Fox Terrier should be.
Both dogs got wet bellies when it rained and neither would go out even into the backyard in the winter without coat . When Linda did her dog school on Saturday mornings she wore both a sweater and a coat in the winter time otherwize there would just be a shivering lump of tiny dog not a bright obedient attentive student sat there with all the other dogs

I saw one of doez things last week, think it a dog but it a verrry big dog it saw me and it run around a bit then come closa to me it not smell like a dog and it tall as my person but it have 4 legs like me an it have a long tail I not have long tail but I noe other dogs have long tail
I want to go unda da fence and run with it as that look like lots of fun but my person she say no, she say it house? no horse it not be house coz it don't look like I can get in it beside it not have a door and house not have 4 legs eifer that silly
I bark at it only once tho coz my person she say not to, she say I scare it now that even sillier how I scare that it way bigga than me, my person she is silly

me took my peoples to go see keeef he not come round here to my house for long time so we go see him, keef a bit scary but me like keeef he ok for a person who don't give me food
keeef look funny now he haf 4 legs now he haf two legs that are bright and shiny and he haf one that is verry smooth an one that look like normal persons leg
keeef have a chair that have big wheeels on the side too and when he sit on it he only have one leg keeef very clever now he can put 3 legs away me not be able to do that

my person she tell me that keeef have dis thing called diabeties and he not really have 4 legs he really haf only 1 leg now and his other leg is gone but peoples they not like dogs if a dog loose a leg they haf 3 more but peoples they fall ova so keeef has to have some extra legs to help him stand up so now me like keef a bit more he a littel bit like a person but bit like a dog too

Persons note: Ice liked Keith before, she used to try and jump all over him like she does with everyone but she was a little bit scared of his crutches so she just sat down and looked at him. Poor dog hasn't seen him in months she was little confused about him I think she thought he had grown extra legs
He lost his leg just under the knee 8 months ago due to diabetic complications and has only just this last couple of weeks started walking around on "4 legs" as Ice says, it's fantastic to see him up and about again

Ice writes part 1

This is part one of "Ice writes" Ice is a stumpy tail cattle dog of medium size who's never been to dog school, so please excuse her spelling she does try though.

My silly person made me a Canada 360 page I don't live in canada there are mice or is that mooses there I don't like mooses. I like flies like catch a fly one day but they allways too fast
I can catch the washing though can you see me thats me next to the lion he liek one of those cat things but he do not move I hide next to lion and get washing off clothes line when girl person not looking she get mad but I get it though washing much easier to catch than fly
I like people when they have food no cabbage that silly I like bones an dogg food and egg
I like to make noises my person tell me I snore I not snore he does when he snore I lick his elbows
Ah yes elbows I love elbows he not have to be snoring for me to lick his elbows me love elbows, did I say I liked elbows?
I not like cars though they too noisy for me big noisys and my peoples they get in the car and go away but not take me that good coz cars are scary and no where to hide in them I do not like it when they goes in the car coz the car scares me
I do not like the big noises the sky make either it make big noise and make light sometimes so I go inside then and go under girl person who give me food I go under her desk sometimes I try to sit on her lap still like when i was little puppy but I a bit big now
I like to dig holes one day I dig to china and go laugh at little dogs that live there

Human training tips

Human training can be slightly difficult sometimes, the smaller humans are easy to train they can be trained to carry food very easily and most always have a biscuit or a cookie in their paws, said biscuit or cookie will most times be given to you voluntarily on the part of the smaller human, just get close enough and they will give it to you. The larger human is lightly harder to train for this you must do tricks for them at least they will think you are doing tricks for them in fact they are performing for you.

Look them in eyes make the sad face and your human will perform for you

They can be trained to open cans, get out the walking leach so you can take them for a walk even produce feet and elbows to lick

So dogs of the world get out your trained human and get them to press down on the bumpy thing in front of the small television they like to sit at so much and get them to do the thing they call typing, sit on thier feet or lap till they get it right

its 1am

1am and I can't sleep, too hot ...too bloomin hot and it's only October don't know what its going to be like in another month 40+ in here, well ok not in here the air-con is in here (have to keep the computers cool) but the rest of the house will be like an oven
Last year I went into the kitchen and it was 50 degrees in there that's around 105 in the other measurement and NO the oven was not on, didn't need to be I could have cooked on the floor not that I would cook on the floor but you know what I mean...get off my floor is clean the dog eats off it all the time so it must be clean enough to eat off ... What the dog finds on the floor worth eating is beyond me I can't see anything and she's licking the floor, maybe its phantom food?
Speaking of the dog, had to have it inside because of thunder storms she hates them goes nuts over the thunder, anyway I bring her inside and she's doing the alternate steam train , drink, steam train, drink thing and dribbling water all over the floor always wondered why her water goes down so fast she spills most of it, of course inside its all over the floor isn't it and then she's walking in the puddles only washed the floor yesterday and so now I gotta do it all again. Only I wash the floor after the dog is back outside well the dog is supposed to back out only she wont, daytime yes she will I say "outside" she is at the door waiting for me too push down the handle so she can nose the door open but night time no way I say "outside" she hides, here's this too big to sit on your lap dog (she's a "medium") hiding under my desk so I'm going "come" with treats and she's on her back I get her up and she scoots up on the bed and hides behind him thinking we can't see her as the light is off.
She does it every time she is inside at night, when its time to go out she hides anyone would think I wack her one or something the way she behaves, I literally have to entice her to the door with treats, she only does it at night day time is fine .... we have a dog that is scared of the dark maybe ? I have no idea.

Actually Ice (that's the dog) has her own 360 page think I'll grab her posts as well and post them here, she don't spell very well after all she is a dog but a couple of the posts are interesting reading well that's what she tells me anyway ....... of course I wrote them dah the dog can't type, even though she does try to sit on my lap while I type, tries is the operative word here, she can't actually sit on my lap she is way too big for that, I keep telling her that she's too big but she don't believe me as dogs don't know size (Ice talks about size on her blog and as I'm going to put them here I'll leave the size thing for now) No I am not making another blogger page up for the bloomin dog, could but I won't can't be bothered.

Anyway what was I doing? Watching my fish on Mash ..yes its that boring over there, posting a very "nice" suggestion on the Mash suggestion board, yes I can be nice sometimes thank you very much. Sticking some more downloads on Chronick, you might like those S I've stuck some Fonts in, do some more soon and Tazster is putting a pile of Rapidshare links up in the forum section she's crazy I swear LoL. If you want anything ask you know me I'll find it and if I can't the big furry one will NO not the dog the snoring furry thing that's sleeping atm...still sounds like he is a dog oh well you know who I mean .
Changed the blurb on BA to say "all bloggers" not just 360 bloggers well I blog here don't I ? Besides you look up Bloggers Anonymous on Google all the other BA sites are dead including the Blogger one.
What else have I done today apart from re-wash the floor ? No idea ?? Oh yeah I know something I'm going to do and that is ....wait for it ........ sleep yeah that's it sleep well hope so anyway.
Oh and please tell me if I post too fast for you or too slow I can do more ya know, you know me I can go hard ...no wait that sounds rude ...I know I know go to bed you sleep blogging again ..hmm I know someone else who sleep blogs wonder who that is ???

I’ve been Missy or Mistress for a long time it’s my screen name, didn’t pick it, it well kinda just became, don’t use my real name either even though some know my first name no body believes my last name anyway. I don’t use Mistress any more because of add requests from people into BDSM and we can’t have that can we

Why did I start too blog
because I love too write, get my thoughts down and then well I
forget about them till later and basically say either “you twit what you write
that for” or “where did that come from”

Do I have a theme, nope haven’t got around too photo shopping one yet … oh that theme. No I don’t have a theme I just write whatever comes too mind, looking back on my old posts I think my mind went on holidays a few times. That’s why I love challenges gives the old brain a bit of a poke wake it up a little

There’s 3 working computers here, networked, set it up myself so I can go type in the dining room if I want but most times if I want peace I just get up at 6am. One day I’ll get one of those fancy phones the ones with keyboards and then I can go sit in the fairytary’ and write

Work yeah well Blogging is a full time job for me I run 4 pages here on 360º one on My

Space and just started another on Blogger just for short stories and poems, bad
poems most of them. My web page has the really old
stuff don’t look at that it’s shocking

I’m married too the computer,
no not really I live with this big cuddly bear of a man, he drops hair
everywhere eats things he’s not meant too, no hang on that’s the dog, the
man he’s good most of the time.

At the moment I have 1 dog, 3 birds (one swears we won’t go into that one) and the large man he’s a child isn’t he? No just acts like it sometimes, my actual kids live in South Australia with their dad, one of each, one is 17 in Feb the other will be 20 in Nov … oh help that means I’m older than I thought

Note: ‘fairytary’ is my daughters (3 year old) word for cemetery, the local cemetery is at the back of our place, we have great neighbors very, very quiet

When I got a quickie comment from the
360º Writers Union the other day honestly I thought I was in trouble for being a
scab (non-union labour) or hadn’t paid my dues or something, it would have
scared the pants off me had I been wearing any … behave I was in my PJ’s well it
was something like 3am what do you expect. Anyway apart from the first reaction
(fear) I felt honored .. Me a writer? Ok if you say so I mean
it’s a union and everything so it can’t be wrong

I wanted to see how this came up on Blogger, if the borders work how difficult it is etc. You do realize that you can turn the lamp on don't you? There is a dog under my desk it's soppossed to be keeping my feet warm but it's not doing a very good job of it dang dog has pointy elbows and it keeps licking my feet too It's only inside because we had yet another storm, big flashes of sheet lightning, the sound taking ages to get her but when it did the dog just goes crazy barking jumping squeaking (needs an oil change) at least today when she came inside it hadn't been raining so no muddy paw prints on the floor like last time It's not flipping sleeping inside either no kidding this dog wriggles and moves all night I swear So anyway hope the light doesn't keep you awake as much as my dog does.... you can play with the lamp .. I'll let you and the good thing it doesn't use any power at all

This is a pic of my other boy Duke it was taken about 4 years
ago or so, and put on a web site missus remembered and went
looking and found it still there our bitch is on the site to.

There's no such thing as a bad breed, just bad owners and a bad
upbringing of the dog!! My boy is the biggest sook never harmed
a human in his life or our bitch, and when it comes to other
animals they have never started anything but if the other
stupied animal did start then there was problems but i dont
encourage dog fights or any kinda animal fights so if i was
around i would brake it up ASAP! I could tell a 100 stories
about duke but i type like a old granny so i aint gonna bother
but he is a great dog from a great breed and i have no regrets

I looked at it first with my photographers eyes I have a
Certificate in Photography and film developing, not that it does
me any good now everything is digital but the composition and
layout of the picture are still the same basic thing, any way I
looked at that pic and thought thats a real good picture the dog
standing in the water and the reflection of it, that could be in
a gallery that picture

The other side to that picture is what its a picture of its a
pit bull course then my Dog Training/Obedience stuff comes out,
I've come across some dogs in my time and ok so thats a pit
bull and Ass says its not the breed and he is right in that,
ITS NOT THE BREED its the people who own them
Did you know that the dog that bites the most is NOT a pit bull but Akitas!
The more unsure the dog is or scared it is the worse it will be
at biting its called " Fight or Flight "

What happens is this the pit bull with just its look can be
scary and they have a rep for biting so what do you do, you get
scared you pump out fear the dog picks up on this it goes you,
you are sopposed to run away ..all dogs do this by the way
even a tiny toy poodle will do this because dogs have no sense
of size......if you just stand your ground the dog thinks ok
this other dog/person is going to go me back and attacks,now you
might say thats the breed,well I don't because if that dog is
trained properly it wont attack ,one word from the owner and it
will back off ,act the right way yourself and it will back off
If a dog is ever standing there growling with hair raised and
tail straight out at you DO NOT run just very slowly walk away,
if you have your own dog with you say " leave it" in a command
voice and just walk away and don't look at the dog thats making
the aggressive behavior , if you back down the other dog will
too its just show the dog is saying "get lost,go away I might
bite you...I really scary look at me I've made myself bigger
I've got big teeth " its just show.
All dogs have a wolf inside they have an in built sense of the
'pack' and the order of the pack and the territory of that pack.
All dog owners must be the leader, the leader controls territory
and makes decisions as to who will be second third etc. Our
family went like this Me, Dog(mini fox terrier) , my daughter, my
son, my X and then the the cat, my X didn't like that much but
that was how the dog saw our pack.
That tiny little dog was boss over everyone except me coz I was Boss Wolf

denial and say its not the breed and cocker spaniel bite more
often but you seem to forget the most important point: when a
cocker bites you, you end up with puncture marks and some
blood... when a pitbull bites you, you not only need the jaws of
life to get it off but you end up with severe tissue and muscle
damage.
Pitbulls are dangerous, they do not make good pets, they do not
have a strong pack instinct so you can't leave them with
children... they will attack even their primary master for
whimsical reasons.
Pitbulls were breeded to be fighting dogs and it's the only
thing they are good at. I applaud cities and provinces banning
them.
If you want a tough looking dog, get a rottweiler or a doberman,
dogs with better disposition who are not walking biting
machines.

cattle dog and kelpe do more damage to humans in attacks then
any other breed i saw a newspaper artical few years back head
line pittbull attack it was a crossbreed for 1 and a flesh wound
attack few weeks later a blue cattle dog killed a 10yr old boy
it was on like page 5 little artical at the bottom next week
anouther pittbull attack front page big head lines and only a
bloody flesh wound and a bloody cross breed to! And my brother
inlaw works for Australia Post delivering and the pittbull is
not even in the top 10 of dogs to watch out for, for a postie so
get ya shit strait and stop ya whining no such thing as a bad
dog only bad owners!!!!

Why the personal attacks dude? Can't find any real arguments?
I'm sorry but what you read in your local newspaper doesnt mean
shit. and what your brother says neither. Those are just
anecdotes, there are not FACTS, nor are they STATS.
And yes, i'm sure cattle dogs have bit more people than
pitbulls. There has got to be 10 000 working dogs for every
pitbulls in Australia.
And working dogs are usually in the bush or on stations where
there is not that many people around to stop the dog... pitbulls
will tear up your arm in 3secs right there in the middle of the
park downtown even if there is 10 people within 5m.
How interesting you left out those two points:
-pitbulls cause major damage quickly when they bite
-pitbulls were bred to be fighting dogs, not pets
so plz, stop the pathetic personal attacks and go back to
reading that all-knowing source of knowledge that is your local
newspaper.
If you ever find some factual arguments that does not involve
newspaper articles (note the spelling) you read 5 years ago...
and if you are able to discuss them maturely without acting like
a 4 year old making personal attacks, then maybe I'll listen to
what you have to say.


Jessum Speaking of pitbulls, i saw two of them break
off a leash the other day and rip apart a jack russell. A guy
had left them tied up out the front of a kindergarten and an old
man was walking the little jack past them. They were going agro
as the man was walking past and after a while they broke off and
chased the man and the jeck down the street. The both jumped on
the dog and started fighting with it but the two pitties over
powered it quickly and started biting at it. My and my boy were
just coming from around the corner when we saw it happen. The
two pitties literally ripped it apart and started eating the
food in it's stomach. In that time the whole street had gathered
outside and even police had rocked up aswell. The people were
yelling at the police to shoot the dogs but they couldnt. I feel
sorry for the old man who had to walk home without his beloved
pup, which we found out later, was his only companion. It was
really horrifying and sad. I hope that those two dogs were put
down immediatly...


Ass No personaly i am just feed up with human bullshit
we make dogs what they are, I have owned my dog for 7 years now
and never had a problem with him, I just think there bigger
things to worry about then a bloody dog breed, I love my dog and
no one will tell me different he has loyalty and love that you
will never get from no human and i know that, ive seen that and
ive felt that, but we as humans think we are god over all

Ass ive been hearing this shit for years, im past
debating and as far as dangerous yea in the wrong hands they can
be so can a gun or knife or whatever when are people gonna take
resposibility for what they have control of and stop blaming the
dog! and theres more to there breed then fighting they are low
maintance dogs no real health problems, are happy to laze around

Dead Weight … well, this is a convo i must jump in on...i
don't pay attention to anything that the news media hypes up,
they are just looking to get peoples attention, so i miss alot,
but in this case i have personal experiance...my wifes parents
owned a pitbull and things went along fine til one day my
daughter went into their backyard, just like any day before
that, and he latched onto her face without provocation...and she
will always have the scars to prove it...these dogs were bred by
miners who would throw them into pits to be nothing more than a
cockfight to bet on.....my choice, which everyone is entitled to
without stepping on anothers toes, is give me a Dachshund any
day...they were bred to go into badger holes and had the
capability to capture and kill a badger, one on one, and still
show the most love and devotion to their master...is why they
have the long tails, so they could be pulled back out of the
badger holes...one of the few positive things that we acquired
from the germans....but each to their own, if a pitbull is what
you desire, may you have a loving and loyal pet.....but thru my
experiance, i don't want to be within the same state as one

ready....my personal opinion is that while both of these breeds
were bred to kill, the pitbull was bred to kill for
"entertainment" while the Dachshund was bred to kill for
"protection" of their owner....but natural traits in all dogs
can be changed to whatever the owner is willing to take the time
to teach and train, as long as the owner will take into account
what the breeds natural traits are


Andrew… Interesting -- didn't know that about daschunds.
Makes me feel a little better too, in an odd personal way. A few
years ago a Hungarian colleague complimented me, by saying that
when I was out walking in the street I seemed very dignified,
like a daschund. I of course burst out laughing, and he was a
little hurt that I didn't take his compliment seriously.
Clearly, I've got to go find me some badgers!
